MITIGATING CYBER SECURITY THREATS IN LEARNING AND ENTERPRISE
Abstract
This study examines cybersecurity threats in educational and corporate settings. The increasing reliance on digital technologies has heightened vulnerability to cyberattacks, compromising sensitive data and disrupting operations. A mixed-methods approach was used to investigate the nature and impact of these threats, integrating qualitative and quantitative data analysis. A survey of 500 participants, including students, educators, and IT professionals, gathered insights on threat perceptions and mitigation strategies. Findings reveal phishing, ransomware, and malware as significant cybersecurity threats. Regular software updates, employee training, and robust security protocols are essential for mitigation. Prioritizing cybersecurity is crucial to protect sensitive data, ensure business continuity, and maintain trust. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and IT professionals, contributing to the existing body of knowledge on cybersecurity and informing effective cybersecurity strategies. Cybersecurity awareness and proactive measures are necessary to prevent cyber threats and ensure a secure digital environment
