Abstract

This study provides a critical analysis of the role of technology and scientific research in fostering sustainable development within the automobile industry. It explores how technological advancements have revolutionized society, economic progress, and the business environment. It highlights the integral contribution to economic growth through manufacturing, sales and maintenance services. It emphasizes the importance of scientific research in addressing economic, social and environmental aspects of sustainable development in the sector. The study revealed how technology has revolutionized the automobile industry and influenced various aspects of society, economy and the environment and significant achievements in recent time, with key technological innovations such as Hybrid Technology, Continuous Variable Transmission System, Dual Fuel System, Electronic Fuel system and Turbo Chargers, identified as outcomes of rigorous scientific inquiry and application. The study therefore, recommends expanding knowledge through systematic data collection, organization and analysis to deepen insights and drive continuous improvement in automotive research and development. Thus, advocating proactive approach in leveraging technology and scientific findings to enhance reliability, durability, performance and sustainability in today's automotive landscape.
