COPYRIGHT & LICENSE

The International Journal of English, Literature, and Cultural Studies recognizes the importance of intellectual property rights and is committed to respecting the rights of authors while ensuring the widest possible dissemination of scholarly research. This copyright and license statement outlines our policies regarding the ownership, use, and distribution of published content.

Copyright Ownership:

Authors retain the copyright to their original work published in our journal. This includes all rights to reproduce, distribute, display, and perform the work, as well as the right to create derivative works based on the original content.

The journal obtains a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute the work under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, which allows others to freely share and adapt the work, provided proper attribution is given to the author(s).

License Terms:

All articles published in our journal are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. This license allows others to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the work, even commercially, as long as proper attribution is given to the author(s) and the original source is properly cited.

Under the CC BY license, authors retain ownership of the copyright to their work while granting others the right to use and distribute the work freely, without seeking additional permission, as long as the original authorship is acknowledged.

Attribution Requirements:

When reproducing or distributing published content from our journal, users are required to provide proper attribution to the author(s) and the original source. This includes citing the article title, author(s), journal name, volume, issue, page numbers, and a link to the original publication.

Attribution should be provided in a manner that clearly identifies the original source and acknowledges the contributions of the author(s) to the work.

Commercial Use:

The CC BY license permits commercial use of published content, allowing others to distribute, remix, and adapt the work for commercial purposes. However, proper attribution must still be provided to the author(s) and the original source.

Modification and Derivative Works:

The CC BY license allows others to modify, adapt, or build upon published content to create derivative works. However, any modifications or derivative works must also be licensed under the CC BY license, and proper attribution must be given to the original author(s).

Waiver Option:

Authors have the option to request a waiver of the CC BY license and select an alternative license for their published work, subject to approval by the journal. Waiver requests may be granted in exceptional circumstances, such as when authors wish to retain more restrictive licensing terms or when required by funding agencies.

By submitting a manuscript to our journal, authors agree to grant the journal a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute their work under the terms of the CC BY license. Authors also agree to comply with the attribution requirements and licensing terms specified above. This copyright and license statement applies to all content published in our journal, unless otherwise specified.
