PEER REVIEW PROCESS
The International Journal of English, Literature, and Cultural Studies is committed to upholding rigorous standards of scholarly excellence and integrity through our peer review process. Our peer review process is designed to ensure that all submissions undergo thorough evaluation by experts in the field, thereby maintaining the quality and credibility of published research.
Upon submission, each manuscript undergoes a preliminary review by the editorial team to assess its suitability for the journal and adherence to submission guidelines. Submissions that meet the basic criteria are then assigned to external reviewers who possess expertise relevant to the manuscript's subject matter.
Our journal follows a double-blind peer review model, ensuring anonymity for both authors and reviewers throughout the evaluation process. This helps to minimize bias and maintain impartiality in the assessment of scholarly contributions.
Reviewers are asked to evaluate the manuscript based on several criteria, including originality, significance, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, and contribution to the field. They provide detailed feedback and constructive criticism to help authors strengthen their work and address any weaknesses or areas for improvement.
Based on the feedback received from reviewers, the editorial team makes a decision regarding the manuscript, which may include acceptance, revision, or rejection. Authors are notified of the decision along with the reviewers' comments, allowing them to revise and resubmit their work if necessary.
In cases where revisions are requested, authors are provided with clear guidance and deadlines for resubmission. Revised manuscripts undergo further evaluation to ensure that all reviewer concerns have been adequately addressed.
Throughout the peer review process, confidentiality and ethical standards are strictly upheld. Reviewers are expected to maintain confidentiality regarding the content of the manuscripts they evaluate, and any conflicts of interest are disclosed and managed appropriately.
Our journal is committed to transparency and fairness in the peer review process, and we strive to provide authors with timely and constructive feedback to support the dissemination of high-quality research in the field of English, literature, and cultural studies.
