PLAGIARISM POLICY
The International Journal of English, Literature, and Cultural Studies is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical conduct. Plagiarism in any form is a serious violation of scholarly ethics and undermines the integrity of the research process. As such, our journal maintains a strict plagiarism policy to ensure the originality and integrity of all published work.
Authors submitting manuscripts to our journal are expected to adhere to the following guidelines:
- Originality: All submitted manuscripts must represent original work that has not been published previously and is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is entirely their own and does not contain any plagiarized content.
- Attribution: Proper attribution must be given to all sources used in the research, including but not limited to ideas, data, images, and text. Authors should accurately cite and reference the work of others, following established citation conventions and ethical guidelines.
- Paraphrasing and Quotation: When quoting directly from another source or paraphrasing existing work, authors must use quotation marks and provide a citation to indicate the source. Paraphrased text should be rephrased in the author's own words while still acknowledging the original source.
- Self-Plagiarism: Authors should avoid self-plagiarism by ensuring that their submitted manuscripts contain original content that significantly builds upon their previous work. Reuse of previously published material should be properly cited and referenced, with appropriate acknowledgment of the original publication.
- Plagiarism Detection: All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using advanced plagiarism detection software. Any instances of plagiarism, whether intentional or unintentional, will be thoroughly investigated by the editorial team.
- Consequences of Plagiarism: If plagiarism or academic misconduct is detected in a submitted manuscript, appropriate actions will be taken in accordance with our journal's policies and guidelines. This may include rejection of the manuscript, notification of the author's institution, and exclusion from future submissions to our journal.
Authors are encouraged to familiarize themselves with our plagiarism policy and to ensure that their submitted manuscripts adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity. By upholding ethical standards and promoting original scholarship, we uphold the credibility and reputation of our journal as a trusted platform for scholarly research in the field of English, literature, and cultural studies.
