Green infrastructure and sustainable urban planning play crucial roles in mitigating urban environmental challenges such as climate change, air pollution, and resource depletion. However, public perception significantly influences the adoption and implementation of these strategies, with media playing a central role in shaping discourse, awareness, and policy support. This study employs a survey method, utilizing in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with urban residents, policymakers, and environmental journalists within Nigeria. Findings indicate that media narratives, framing, and social media discourse influence public perception, either fostering support for green infrastructure or reinforcing skepticism. The study highlights the need for strategic environmental communication to enhance public engagement with sustainable urban planning.
