BUSINESS PROCESS ENGINEERING AND THE SURVIVAL OF SELECTED BREWERY FIRMS IN NIGERIA.
Abstract
This study was carried out to determine the relationship between Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) and the survival of selected brewery firms in Nigeria. Guinness Nigeria Plc and Nigeria Breweries Plc were selected for the study. Longitudinal data from 2000 to 2018 extracted from the annual reports of the selected firms was used for the study. BPR was considered through the number of products developed by the firms over time, while survival was viewed through their profitability and sustainable growth rate. Structural Equation Modeling path analysis was adopted to analyze the data collected. Both companies showed that there is strong relationship between profitability, sustainable growth rate and the survival of business firms.
