Copyright & License
The International Journal of Innovative Studies (IJOIS) is committed to protecting the rights of authors while promoting open and global access to academic knowledge. Our copyright and licensing policy is designed to balance these priorities, ensuring authors retain ownership of their work and that readers benefit from unrestricted access.
1. Copyright Ownership
Upon acceptance and publication in IJOIS, authors retain full copyright of their work. The journal does not require a transfer of copyright. Instead, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish, distribute, archive, and promote their work in both print and digital formats.
This ensures that:
- Authors maintain control over their intellectual property;
- Authors can freely reuse or republish their work elsewhere with proper citation;
- The journal has the right to make the article available to a global audience.
2. Licensing Terms
All articles published in IJOIS are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), unless otherwise stated.
This license allows others to:
- Share — copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format
- Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially
Under the following terms:
- Attribution — Credit must be given to the original author(s), provide a license link, and indicate changes.
- No additional legal terms or technological measures may be applied that restrict usage beyond the license.
3. Author Rights and Permissions
- Reuse content from their published article in future works (research, books, lectures, presentations);
- Post the article on repositories, personal websites, or academic networks;
- Translate their work into other languages (with appropriate citation);
- Share the work freely with colleagues, students, or practitioners.
4. Use of Third-Party Content
If a manuscript includes third-party content, authors must:
- Obtain written permission from the copyright holder;
- Provide proper citation and credit;
- Submit permission letters at submission stage.
Failure to obtain permissions may result in delays, rejection, or retraction.
5. Publisher’s Rights
- Non-exclusive license to publish, reproduce, distribute, and archive the article;
- Right to promote the work through indexing, social media, and databases;
- Right to include the article in special issues, proceedings, or digital collections.
6. Commercial Use and Reuse
