Abstract

The construction industry is inherently fraught with safety risks, necessitating innovative solutions to enhance worker protection and minimize accidents. This study examines various technological advancements that significantly improve safety in construction projects. Key solutions include wearable technologies such as smart helmets and safety vests that monitor worker health and environmental conditions. Drones facilitate site surveys and inspections, while Building Information Modeling (BIM) aids in hazard identification through detailed project visualization. Robotics and automation reduce human exposure to dangerous tasks, and site monitoring systems provide real-time surveillance of construction sites. Moreover, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) enhance training and on-site awareness, whereas mobile safety apps streamline hazard reporting and safety protocol access. The Internet of Things (IoT) further optimizes safety by monitoring environmental and equipment conditions, while artificial intelligence (AI) predicts potential accidents based on historical data. Automated safety inspections and effective communication tools foster a culture of safety compliance, and training simulators prepare workers for emergency situations. Collectively, these technological solutions represent a shift in construction safety management, promoting a safer work environment and reducing the incidence of workplace injuries
