WORKPLACE AUTOMATION AND EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE: ANALYZING THE SYNERGY BETWEEN AI TOOLS AND HUMAN EFFORTS
Abstract
This study explores the impact of workplace automation, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, on employee performance, and the synergy between automated systems and human efforts. As automation technologies advance, organizations across various industries integrate AI-driven tools to enhance operational efficiency, improve decision-making, and reduce costs. The increasing prevalence of automation raises critical questions about its influence on employee roles, performance, and job security. This paper examines the evolution of workplace automation, its effect on employee performance, and the challenges employees face in adapting to AI systems. It also highlights the potential for synergy between AI tools and human capabilities, emphasizing that while automation can handle repetitive tasks, employees can focus on higher-value activities that require creativity, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence. The study draws on empirical research, case studies, and existing literature to argue that fostering collaboration between AI systems and human employees, supported by proper training and transparent AI, can maximize productivity and innovation. This synergy, rather than complete automation, leads to more effective and sustainable organizational outcomes
