CULTURAL MEMORY AND HISTORICAL NEWS IN GEORGIA: AN ANALYSIS OF HISTORICAL AND PHILOLOGICAL RESEARCH
Abstract
The article was dedicated to the relationship between cultural memory and historical news of Georgia, in an interdisciplinary prism. The research combines historical and philological methods, and archives, chronicles and literary texts of the 18th-20th centuries became the subject of analysis. Attention is focused on the content, language and thematic aspects of the texts that shape the perception of national identity and collective memory. The results show that the unity of historical and philological approaches provides a more complete view of cultural memory, confirming how text analysis helps to preserve historical awareness. The study is important for the study of the historical and cultural heritage of Georgia and provides a basis for other post-Soviet cultural memory studies
